white in red

Posted in building, zurich by tot on January 31, 2010

Paint it white, painted white,  pigmented white, with stone in white, stoned white.. Different textures and different touch in white is the chapel of Kirchenzentrum in Uetikon am See. The appearance is all red. Light and dark red (like a juicy blood orange) emphasize the coarse texture of surface. Is that color from earth? By detaching the opening element, Baukörper (building body) has kinda earthy quality. I found today, with so much snow, green was almost gone. Pity.  So blue without green..
